Lillias White

An Evening with Lillias White is a celebration of Lillias’ favorite tunes and composers. Mixed into this extraordinary concert are memories and songs from Cy Coleman, Hoag Carmichael, Duke Ellington, Alan & Marilyn Berman, Big Maybelle, and many more. Lillias serves the audience an exciting evening of music, humor and anecdotes. Included in the concert are excerpts from Lillias’ latest recording, Divine Sass: A Tribute to Sarah Vaughn .

Acclaimed film, TV and Broadway star Lillias White is a Tony Award-winner for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Cy Colman’s The Life. She has also appeared on Broadway in roles such as Effie in Dreamgirls, Grizabella in Cats, Asaka in Once on This Island, Matron “Mama” Morton in Chicago, and Dorothy in the national tour of The Wiz. She is also well known for her roles as Calliope in the Disney film Hercules.
